This Privacy Policy explains how TicketBot ("we", "our", or "the Bot") collects, uses, and stores information when you use our Discord bot and associated web dashboard.

By using TicketBot, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

TicketBot is a self-hosted application. When deployed, it may collect and store the following data:

  • Discord User IDs — to identify ticket creators and staff members.
  • Discord Guild (Server) IDs — to associate tickets and configurations with your server.
  • Message Content — messages sent inside ticket channels are stored as transcripts.
  • Usernames and Avatars — displayed in the web dashboard and transcripts via Discord's API.
  • Ticket Metadata — open/close times, priority, assigned staff, ratings, and notes.

3. How We Use Your Information

The data collected is used solely to operate the ticket system, including:

  • Opening, managing, and closing support tickets.
  • Generating HTML transcripts of ticket conversations.
  • Displaying staff statistics and analytics in the dashboard.
  • Enforcing per-server blacklists.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.

4. Data Storage

All data is stored locally in an SQLite database on the server where TicketBot is hosted. The security and retention of this data is the responsibility of the server operator (the person who self-hosts the bot).

We do not operate any central servers that store user data.

5. Data Retention

Ticket data, transcripts, and logs are retained indefinitely unless manually deleted by the server administrator. Users may request deletion of their data by contacting the server administrator directly.

6. Third-Party Services

TicketBot uses Discord's API to operate. By using TicketBot, you are also subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.

7. Children's Privacy

TicketBot does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Use of Discord is subject to Discord's own age requirements and terms.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of TicketBot after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
